We took a group of our Year 11 students to Beal High School for a Careers Fair. Prior to the event, Miss Frederick (Careers Advisor), led a group discussion about next steps and this helped our students to target priority stalls.   Students spoke to the London Ambulance Service and asked about apprenticeships and other routes, as well as roles and she is now extremely interested in a paramedic career.  Some students were focused on careers as an electrician and plumber respectively and so targeted the apprenticeship stall and universities to see how they can progress further post-16.

All of our students engaged with all the exhibitors and it was a great opportunity for them to visit another school within our Trust. They are all looking forward to Year 11 Progression Day where they will have an assembly from the Sixth Form Team about courses, progression and careers, as well as taster lessons in subjects offered in the sixth form. We also look forward to hosting our own Careers Fair on 16th March 2023, please get in touch with Miss Frederick if you would be interested in a stall sfrederick@theforestacademy.co.uk.
