TFA hosted our first ever Chess Tournament. Chess as an extra-curricular activity is becoming extremely popular at TFA thanks to the initial core players and teachers. Now groups of students play before school, during breaks and lunchtimes and after school, with beginners have been inspired to join on a daily basis.
The competition hosted 40 entrants over two weeks and we are so proud of all our entrants. We are delighted to announce our Grand Master, Matthew Omatsola-Morgan Year 11 and other winners as follows:
RUNNER UP : Oleksander Bilous Year 10
3rd PLACE : Archie Lentzos Year 11
4th PLACE : Sviatoslav Nesterenko Year 11
We look forward to developing the next generation of players and cannot wait for the tournament’s return in 2024.
