On Friday, a group of Year 12 students visited Oxford University. Oxford is currently ranked 1st in the world by the Times Higher Education league tables (2021).
The students visited 3 colleges, Lady Margaret Hall, Wadham and Magdalen and had a walking tour of the university.

At Lady Margaret Hall, they learnt about university admissions, the Astrophoria Foundation Year and the wide range of programmes which can support them in their Oxbridge applications.

The focus at Wadham was on ‘applying to Russel Group and Oxbridge’, the college system, tutorials and student finances.
Magdalen provided a brilliant tour for our students.
They walked throughout the university, and visited many of the famous landmarks.

Lemar said “This experience has allowed me to see a different perspective of what university can provide to an individual and I learnt that are more routes into a prestigious University such as Oxford, by which students can have an academically rigorous foundation year.”

MJay said, “I learnt about how much they prioritise student wellbeing, as I thought before it was primarily about academia, but seeing how they focused on the students made it seem like a supportive and secure network.”

Lucy said, “Following the visit, Oxford University is now my main goal, I found the trip very informative and the people there were very kind and helpful”
