The trip to Warwick University was amazing and our students felt privileged to have been selected for the trip. Our students were well behaved, were inquisitive and engaged in all of the exciting activities.

They met university Professors , Lecturers and Student Ambassadors who encouraged the students throughout the visit and were able to answer questions. Our students participated in a University masterclass were our they learnt how to use IT software and machinery to create their own sequence which would design a pattern. The TFA design won the best pattern of all the schools, which was a proud moment for our students who worked very well as a team.

Our Ambassadors gave us a tour of the University campus and our students were both surprised and impressed by the size and range of facilities . They also got to see University accommodation and our students tried to imagine what it would be like to live there away from home.

A student panel delivered a talk to our students with experiences of scholarships , a range of courses and an insight to the university’s commitment to diversity. They participated in Q&A and asked some great questions which had a positive impact on our students’ desire to attend university.

Well done to Yashua Brown, Ellis Summer and Jarnae Simpson.
