NUT Strike Action – Tuesday 5th July 2016

We now know that the NUT has voted for strike action on Tuesday 5th July 2016.  This union is the largest at The Forest Academy.

This means that there will be insufficient staff to teach classes or provide adequate supervision throughout the day and consequently the school will be closed for Year 7 – 8 students.  Year 9, 10 and 12 students may come in to use the IT facilities (Room 56, 57 and 58 for Year 10, the library and LSU for Year 9 and the Sixth Form study zone, and Room 59 for Year 12) and seek the assistance of staff who are on site, but no formal lessons will take place.
