Last week the DFE performance tables for 2016 were published. Each school in the country is compared to the 54 most similar schools in terms of student performance at KS2. For TFA it would mean it is compared to other schools whose Year 11 in 2016 was around sig- 2.5 when they left primary school (the average points score for TFA was 25.1 while the national average was 27.6). Friday 21st October is ‘Wear it Pink & Blue’ Day to raise money for charity. Students can wear either Pink or Blue and donate £1, all proceeds will benefit Breast Cancer Now. More »

We are delighted to announce that our year 13 students have achieved the best ever A level results in the school’s history, with 73% of grades at A*-C and a 97% pass rate.
Year 12 have also performed fantastically well, recording the highest ever proportion of A*-C grades and pass rates at AS too. More »
On Thursday 18th August 2016, AS, A Level and L3 BTEC results will be available from the main school from 8am. Enrolment for year 13 for The Forest Academy Sixth Form will also take place on this date.

We now know that the NUT has voted for strike action on Tuesday 5th July 2016. This union is the largest at The Forest Academy.
This means that there will be insufficient staff to teach classes or provide adequate supervision throughout the day and consequently the school will be closed for Year 7 – 8 students. Year 9, 10 and 12 students may come in to use the IT facilities (Room 56, 57 and 58 for Year 10, the library and LSU for Year 9 and the Sixth Form study zone, and Room 59 for Year 12) and seek the assistance of staff who are on site, but no formal lessons will take place.
